Genmuda – Game ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ dominasi The Game Awards 2016. Game itu masuk delapan nominasi penghargaan, yaitu Game of The Year, Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Narrative, Best Action/Adventure Game, dan tiga Best Performance Voice Actor untuk Nolan North (Nathan Drake), Emily Rose (Elena), dan Troy Baker (Sam Drake).
Sementara itu, ‘Firewatch,’ ‘Inside,’ dan ‘Overwatch’ terima total lima nominasi. Dari sisi publisher game, Sony lah yang terima nominasi terbanyak, yaitu 13 nominasi. Pesaingnya, EA dapat 10 nominasi, Blizzard 7 nominasi, Bethesda 6 nominasi. Terakhir, ada Playdead dan Campo Santo yang terima 5 nominasi.
Daftar semua nominasi dan 24 kategori yang dilombakan The Game Awards 2016 resmi dirilis, Kamis (17/11) lalu. Juara enam kategorinya bisa ditentuin atas voting netizen sementara sisanya berdasarkan penilaian dewan juri.
