Genmuda – Ajang penghargaan musik paling bergensi Grammy Awards resmi digelar Staples Center, Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat, Minggu (10/2), malam waktu AS. Sejumlah musisi dunia ikut menghadari acara tahunan yang sekarang memperebutkan 44 piala.

Seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, penampilan dari masing-masing musisi di Grammy Awards ibarat daya tarik yang gak bisa dipisahkan. Ada yang dapat pujian, ada juga kritik pedas. Kawan Muda mau tau ada apa aja? Berikut rangkumannya.

BTS yang mencuri perhatian

Kehadiran boyband yang beranggotakan V, Jin, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook dan Suga jadi daya tarik di Grammy Awards, khususnya penggemar K-Pop. Menariknya cowok-cowok multitalenta dari negeri gingseng ini mendapatkan pujian karena memilih menggunakan jas rancangan dua desainer lokal Jay Baek dan Kim Seo Ryon. Biarpun begitu setelan jas yang mereka kenakan terlihat matching di atas panggung.

Panggungnya Cardi B

Grammy Awards kali ini bisa dibilang jadi panggungnya Cardi B. Rapper kontroversi tersebut mencuri perhatian publik lewat kostum kerang super ribet mewah di atas red carpet. Saking susah buat jalan, Cardi B sampai harus dibantu oleh 5 orang buat berjalan.

Belum selesai sampai di situ, rapper bernama asli Belcalis Almanzar itu kembali memukau penonton di atas panggung Grammy saat membawakan single “Money”. Dengan latar panggung bewarna ungu gelap, Cardi B kembali mengenakan pakaian super seksi. Terlepas dari itu semua, namanya juga berhasil menggondol piala Grammy pertama dalam katergori Best Rap Album untuk album “Invaion of Privacy”.

Pidato Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama turut meramaikan acara Grammy Awards, bersama Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett-Smith dan Jennifer Lopez. Kehadirannya di atas panggung emang bukan buat nyanyi, gengs, tapi memberikan pidato tentang arti musik bagi hidupnya.

“Musik selalu membantu saya menceritakan kisah saya… apakah kita suka rap atau rock, musik membantu kita berbagi diri, martabat dan kesedihan kita, harapan dan kegembiraan kita. Itu memungkinkan kita untuk saling mendengar.” kata mantan first lady tersebut.

Dikritik Drake

Kalo Drake justru beda lagi nih, gengs. Meski dapat penghargaan Best Rap Song lewat lagu ‘God’s Plan’. Drake menyampaikan kritiknya kepada Academy Records yang dinilai berat sebelah dalam mendukung lagu-lagu ‘hip-hop’. Sialnya kritikan tersebut malah dipotong iklan oleh pihak penyelenggara. Duh, kasihan juga sama masbro satu ini.

Tiga musisi peraih penghargaan terbanyak

Tahun ini penghargaan terbanyak diraih oleh Childish Gambino yang menangin penghargaan Best Music Video, Best Rap/Sung Performance, Song of the Year dan Record of the Year untuk lagu “This Is America”. Sementara torehan serupa diraih oleh musisi country, Kacey Musgraves, yang menangi penghargaan Best Country Album, Best Country Song, Best Country Solo Performance, dan Album of the Year.

Walau dua musisi tersebut kurang familiar di Indonesia, namuan di posisi ketiga baru ada nama Lady Gaga yang menangin tiga penghargaan untuk kategori Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, dan Best Song Written For Visual Media.
